Been longing for Eye-Fi support in your Sony a350? Or any CompactFlash-lovin’ camera, for that matter? Meet Synchrotech, your new best friend. The company famous for making incredibly useful adapters has just pumped out its latest stroke of genius, the CFMulti. As you’d expect, this card fits into traditional CF slots but enables Secure Digital cards to be read, including Eye-Fi’s range of wireless SD cards. In addition to that, the device accepts standard SD / SDHC and MMC / MMC+ cards. You know you’d pay $28 for all that functionality in one tight package, right?

What’s been keepin’ ya, SanDisk? We knew these little buggers were legit late last week, but for whatever reason, the outfit chose to keep its trap shut until today. Finally, SanDisk has confessed in painful detail that its 16GB microSDHC and M2 cards are for real, marking the largest capacity available in both formats. Of note, even Sony doesn’t have a 16GB M2 card on the market, though it’s possible the firm is too busy dealing with all those other proprietary formats to mess with this one. At any rate, Best Buy Mobile and Verizon Wireless stores will be your go-to place for either one, though we’d be prepared to shell out $99.99 (16GB microSDHC) or $129.99 (16GB M2) when they land in November.

Thanks to an early jump in Japan, we already knew that Canon’s VIXIA line was getting a refresh, but now we can rest easy knowing they’ll be coming to America. The HF11 Dual Flash camcorder (32GB in addition to an SDHC slot) and HG20 (60GB) / HG21 (120GB) HDD camcorders all boast 1,920 x 1,080 capture modes, Instant AutoFocus, SuperRange Optical Image Stabilization and 24Mbps recording to the AVCHD format. The whole lot is expected to ship next month for $1,199, $949 and $1,299 in order of mention, and the increasingly intriguing HF11 has already spent some quality time on Camcorder Info’s review bench. Check out the in-depth writeup below before pulling that trigger in the heat of the moment.

Though not nearly as sexy (or well-spec’d, for that matter) as Sony’s recently-unveiled HDR-TG1, AgfaPhoto’s DV-5000Z still manages to hold its own on paper. Measuring in at 4.7- x 2.75-inches (12- x 7-centimeters) and weighing just over 7-ounces (200-grams), this HD camcorder features a 5-megapixel Micron CMOS sensor, 2.5-inch flip-out LCD, 3x optical zoom and an SD / SDHC slot to store everything on. As for shooting capabilities, it’ll capture clips at 1,280 x 720 (using H.264 compression) and snag 16-bit stereo sound all the while. You’ll also find USB connectivity, a rechargeable Li-ion and video out, natch. Unfortunately, there’s no mention of this €249 ($393) device ever coming Stateside, but it’ll be ready to roll in Russia later this month.

16GB SDHC cards aren’t all that atypical these days, but A-DATA is claiming to have the “world’s first 16GB SDHC Class 6″ iteration ready to roll. Additionally, the firm is introducing an 8GB Super SDHC Duo (saywha?) card of the Class 4 variety, and for those still scouting a new CompactFlash card, it’s cranking out a 32GB version for you. Regrettably, we’ve no idea how soon A-DATA plans to get these on the market (nor how much it plans to charge), but it shouldn’t be long before we all find out.

Keepin’ things fresh in Berlin is MPIO, which has apparently unveiled not one, but five new media players during IFA. Up first is the MG200, which looks to tout 2GB of flash storage, an SDHC expansion slot, 1.5-inch OLED display, an FM tuner, and support for MP3, WMA, and WMA-DRM. The MG300 steps it up by including a 2.4-inch QVGA screen, 4GB of capacity, and the ability to handle AVI, JPEG, and BMP files in addition to the aforementioned formats. The diminutive MD100 plays nice with MP3, WMA, and OGG files, boasts an FM tuner and lasts up to 60-hours with the LCD flipped off, while the 2GB OG21 rocks a 1.8-inch screen and also does video. Bringing up the rear is the OG23, which packs 8GB of space, a QVGA display, and SDHC support to boot. Per usual, mum’s the word on pricing and availability, but click on through for a few more snapshots of the group.

Philips certainly is making good use of the spotlight provided over in Berlin, and while we’ve seen quite the array of LCDs emerge from the firm, up next is a trio (plus a limited edition tagalong) of smaller displays aimed at living room tables. The 5.6-inch Digital PhotoFrame touts a panel capable of displaying 140ppi, while the 7- and 10-inch iterations get powered by an integrated rechargeable battery and tout enough internal memory “to store 1,000 digital images.” Furthermore, pictures can be loaded up through your USB-equipped Mac / PC, or you can upload directly from CompactFlash, Memory Stick, MSPro / MSDuo, xD, SD, SDHC, and MMC cards. Lastly, Philips will be offering up a Christmas-themed version of the 10-inch digiframe to grab the eyes of desperate holiday shoppers, but unfortunately, the outfit failed to provide release dates or pricing information for us to mull over.

Piddly and pathetic compared to the mammoth 32GB found in Toshiba’s forthcoming SDHC cards, but we still wouldn’t kick Panny’s new 16GB class 6 (20MBps) media out of bed. It’s out in November, and it’ll run you $320.
